Visualisation and ability to design and change your item before anything is machined
For all machining operations at CADCAM Machining we first create an exact 3D model of your item.
Inputs for creation can be sketches or technical drawings, photos or a the physical item to be reproduced or modified.
We can also import many 2D and 3D formats that you wish to supply and can also change or manipulate your STL files to be machined.
Upon completion, the 3D model can be produced in STL or IEGS format.
Our Skills and Expertise to get the job done
CADCAM Machining use several different tool path and machining strategies depending on what is needed. In many cases machining will involve different strategies, different machines, and may use both 3D and 2D models. In general, most machining occurs with a 3D form being cut and then 2.5D tasks such as facing, boring, cutting, tapping etc are performed.
At the time of your quote, CADCAM Machining will advise of any issues regarding toolpaths and creation of your job to your requirements.
All G-Code created by CADCAM remains property of CADCAM Machinery and is not available for sale.

Clear and defined technical specification drawings
Once a 3D solid model is created, we then draw it in 2D. This allows us to confirm the specifications with you and provides us both with a clear understanding of what will be machined.
2D drawings are also an essential part of any machining process and in many cases we cannot use CNC machines without them.
Upon completion of your job, we will provide you a soft copy of all 2D drawings in DWG format.
